Introduction
This guide helps you troubleshoot test report export failures in PCTEL Technical Support workflows. In many cases, the export fails because a channel group was created with one or more required channels not selected.
Issue description
A test report export can fail when the channel group used for the report does not include all required channels. This is especially common when PXX RSSI is not selected during channel group creation.
Signs
The report export does not complete.
An export error appears after selecting a channel group.
The report works after recreating the channel group with the correct channels.
Basic troubleshooting steps
Use the following checklist to resolve the export failure:
Confirm which channel group is being used for the test report.
Check whether the channel group was created with any unselected channels.
Verify that PXX RSSI is selected.
Recreate the channel group if required channels were omitted.
Advanced troubleshooting steps
Step 1: Delete the existing channel group
Remove the channel group that was created without the required channels. This clears the incorrect configuration so you can create a new group with the proper selections.
Step 2: Create a new channel group with all required channels
When recreating the channel group, make sure you select every required channel, including PXX RSSI. Do not leave any needed channels unselected.
Step 3: Export the test report again
After the channel group has been recreated correctly, run the report export again. The export should complete successfully if the required channels are included.
Summary
Test report export failures are often caused by channel groups that were created without all required channels. Delete the existing channel group, recreate it with the required channels including PXX RSSI, and then export the report again.
Additional information
If the export still fails after recreating the channel group, contact support for further assistance and include the report name, channel group details, and any error messages you received.
