SeeHawk® Monitor supports automated uplink testing for public safety and critical communications systems. The workflow allows teams to schedule testing remotely, collect uplink measurements from Remote Test Units, synchronize data with SeeHawk Touch, and generate reports for review, documentation, and compliance.

Automated Uplink Testing Workflow

1. Prepare

Remotely schedule uplink testing on SeeHawk® Monitor.

No on-site support is required to schedule the test. Testing can be planned and configured before the technician arrives in the field.

2. Test Uplink

A single technician conducts uplink testing using the PCTEL® Public Safety Network Testing Solution.

The technician activates a test radio during one of the following test types:

• Grid testing
• BDA commissioning testing
• Drive testing
• Walk testing

This allows uplink signal quality to be measured from the field back to the radio site.

3. Record

The Remote Test Unit, also known as an RTU, automatically measures the uplink signal at the radio site.

The RTU records the test results and sends the data back to Platform Manager.

4. Export Data

An authorized user exports uplink data from Platform Manager.

The exported data can then be imported and synchronized in SeeHawk Touch software, which is included with the PCTEL Public Safety Network Testing Solution.

5. Report

SeeHawk Touch automatically synchronizes data from SeeHawk Monitor and generates test reports.

Drive test reports can also be generated automatically using SeeHawk® Reports software.

Reports can be generated:

• In real time
• On demand
• Using user-customizable pass/fail criteria

6. Share Results Optional

Users can share and track grid testing and BDA commissioning test results online using the SeeHawk® Central cloud platform.

This allows teams to review results, collaborate, and maintain visibility into testing progress and outcomes.

1. Schedule the uplink test remotely
2. Conduct the field test with one technician
3. Record uplink measurements using the RTU
4. Export data from Platform Manager
