Operation Notes
SeeGull Connect Location Permission
SeeGull Connect requires the Location feature to have Allow all the time permission in order to function properly.
Android 16 no longer shows this option during the normal permission prompt. Users may need to manually go into Android permission settings and grant SeeGull Connect Allow all the time permission for Location.
Tablet Support
Starting with SeeHawk Touch Release 5.1, the following Samsung tablets are no longer supported:
- Samsung Tab S2
- Samsung Tab S3
- Samsung Tab S4
Recommended tablets:
- Samsung Tab S6 or later
Data Upload Using FTPS
Data upload to a server using FTPS may not work.
Customers are advised to use one of the following instead:
- FTP
- SFTP
IBWC Files with Multiple Buildings
If an IBWC file contains multiple buildings, users should create a separate Indoor Grid test for each building in the IBWC file.
Each Indoor Grid test should be uploaded to the corresponding building in SeeHawk Central.
P25, P25 Custom Channels, and Custom Channel Power
Only frequencies known to be P25 should be configured for the P25 Decode scan.
Other technologies may fail to decode and may report poor SINR values if configured as P25.
For non-P25 technologies, use the Custom Channel Power feature.
Gflex USB Connection to Tablet
When using a USB connection with a Gflex scanner:
- Gflex works with Samsung S7 or later tablets when using a USB 3.0 cable.
- The initial first connection may not work.
- If the first connection fails, initiate the device connection again.
- Gflex works with Samsung S6, S7, and S8 tablets when using a USB 2.0 cable.
Antenna Frequency Settings
Antenna Frequency range must be set correctly in SeeHawk Touch.
At least one RF port should cover the full band range where the intended channel or frequency scan measurement will be performed.
Example:
- For P25 decode scans on RF1, set RF1 from 10 MHz to 990 MHz.
Important:
- RF1 and RF2 frequency ranges should not overlap.
- The same guidance applies to other technologies.
mmWave Band Note
The mmWave band 24.25 GHz to 44 GHz, band code 0x8800, is disabled.
This band cannot be used for power measurement. If selected, the scanner will not respond.
Supported Operating Systems
SeeHawk Touch Release 5.4.0.2 supports:
- Android 10 to Android 16
